RESPOnD Workshop - Ecosystem based adaptation strategies in Franconia - Excursion and wine tasting

On May 7, 2026, the RESPOnD project brought together stakeholders from the wine sector including wingegrowers, wine makers, consultants and researchers at the trial fields of the Bayerische Landesanstalt für Weinbau und Gartenbau (LWG).
During this second phase of the RESPOnD Living Lab, participants went deeper into the practical implementation of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) strategies. Discussions higlighted the importance of applying EbA strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change in Franconian viticulture as well as the challenges. The workshop concluded with a wine tasting featuring wines from the different RESPOnD regions.
