On June 20, 2025, the first RESPOnD Living Lab workshop was held in Veitshöchheim near Würzburg, organized by the Professorship of Ecological Services (University of Bayreuth).

The event brought together experts from science and viticulture.

Participants discussed the region’s unique winegrowing practices, important ecosystem services such as soil health and water management, and the increasing threats from climate change. 

The workshop stressed the need for adaptive strategies to protect vineyards and preserve the Franconian cultural landscape.
